The most important thing to look for when choosing a business consultant is demonstrated success and experience. Think about the goals you have for your business and compare these with the business consultant’s experience. For example, if you’re aiming to sell your business for seven figures, has your desired business consultant done that? Have any of their clients done that?

Another good thing to keep in mind when choosing a business consultant is whether or not they know the difference between marketing strategy and marketing tactics. If they can’t convince you they know the difference between the two, then you’re in the wrong place.
