Business management and leadership – what is the difference?

There is a difference between management and leadership. Leadership involves creating the marketing strategy and aligning people to execute it. Management, on the other hand executes the strategy. Leadership without management is a problem because it is more difficult to stick to a budget or the main focus.

Often in business, we get guilt-tripped into doing things that we’re not any good at. It is important for any business owner to recognise their personal strengths and weaknesses and delegate tasks accordingly. Play to your natural leadership style and have other staff do the things you’re not good at.
