Clients - what can businesses do to get more?

Only 7% of businesses report having enough clients and most of these businesses are in the compliance industry, for example accountancy firms.

In order to get more clients, businesses should avoid overt or obvious selling and focus primarily on marketing. They should also use the knowledge of business experts around them, but be sure the specialist has the business's best interest in mind.

Businesses need to develop a good relationship of trust and mutual liking with their clients. It is 5 times easier and 80% more cost effective to sell a new product to an existing client, than to try and sell the product to a new client.
